TYPE RATING PROGRAM SUMMARY

Fee includes ground school, flight manual, dual instruction (5 hrs PIC time which includes a FAA examiner check ride).

The Type Rating is NOT guaranteed in four hours of flight time and it completely depends on the pilot abilities.  Additional flight time will be charged at $1000 / hour.

Minimum requirements:  Private Pilot Certificate with a instrument and multiengine land rating along with proficiency in both tailwheel and multiengine aircraft and a minimum 3rd class medical.  If a pilot has bare minimum requirements, additional time might be required.

Allow three full days.  Ground school is approximately 4 hours on day one.  Dual flight instruction is four hours for PIC and (two hours for "SIC Experience".  Check ride is approximately one hour for PIC, and there is no "check-ride" for SIC experience.

Deposit of $1000 is required to secure class slot and flight manual will be sent upon receipt.

A successful completion of the type rating counts as a BFR.

Make sure to bring current medical, pilot certificate, log book, and coveralls or clothing that just might be oily!

Classes will be held to no more than three applicants.

The aircraft will NOT be placed in any unnecessary peril.  If, during the initial stages of training, a deficiency in basic tailwheel or multiengine proficiency is demonstrated, the flying may be terminated.  This program is conservatively based on the best available circumstances and assumptions regarding the applicant's flying abilities, weather conditions, etc.  If additional flight hours or room nights are required due to circumstances beyond our control, additional costs will be the direct responsibility of the applicant.

EXAMPLE PROGRAM ITINERARY

Day Three - Continue with flight training.
Day Four - FAA Certified Check-ride in N414H (approximately one flight hour) and conclude program.  Participants can depart that afternoon.
